Chai

चाय और देसी ठंडा

India's own refreshment, taken seriously. Brewed and built to spec, not from a premix.

Irani chai
Hyderabad's own — slow-brewed decoction finished with rich, khoya-sweet milk, the way the old cafés still do it.
Cutting chai
Strong, milky, properly boiled masala chai in small pours — brewed fresh through the event, never held in a flask for hours.
Kashmiri kahwa
Green tea simmered with saffron, cardamom, and cinnamon, finished with crushed almonds. Elegant for winter evenings.
Chaas, lassi & desi thanda
Masala chaas, salted or sweet lassi, goli soda, and fresh nimbu pani — the coolers everyone actually wants.

OursHouse signatures
Drinks you won't get from anyone else. The Patiala Peg Johnnie Walker Black Label, and the rest stays behind the bar. This is the one drink we will never give the recipe for. Picante Tequila and mezcal infused with jalapeño and fresh coriander — citrus-bright up front, a slow, smoky heat behind it. Ghee-washed Old Fashioned Whiskey fat-washed with ghee for a silky body and warm, nutty depth — the Old Fashioned, but unmistakably ours.

A note on alcohol. Where alcohol is served, you procure it — we'll give you an exact bottle list for your menu and guest count, so you buy precisely what's needed and nothing more.

Why Kya Piyoge

Small and personal, by design

I spent years behind bars and in kitchens — in London and here — before starting this. I'd rather do a handful of events really well than churn through many badly.

India has extraordinary drinks, from the goli soda cart to a proper masala chaas, and there's no reason those should be any less considered than a cocktail. So we treat all of it — chai, juice, daaru — with the same care. Whether your event has a drop of alcohol or none at all, everyone should get something worth drinking.

Questions we get

Do you provide the alcohol?
No — you procure it, which keeps things clean under Telangana's rules and means you never pay a markup on a bottle. We give you an exact bottle list for your menu and guest count, so you buy precisely what's needed. Everything else — bartenders, glassware, mixers, ice, garnishes — comes with us.
Can you do a fully alcohol-free event?
Happily. The chai and juice tracks are complete programs on their own, not consolation prizes. Some of our favourite events haven't had a drop of alcohol in the building.
What's the smallest event you'll do?
Small is our specialty — house parties and intimate dinners from around 15 guests, starting at ₹15,000. A minimum booking charge applies so we can staff and stock properly even for a small crowd.
How much notice do you need?
A week's notice is comfortable and gets you the full menu. Shorter is sometimes possible with a tighter drinks list — message us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
Where do you travel?
Across Hyderabad, including farmhouses on the outskirts. For venues further out, we'll quote travel transparently as its own line.
Do we need to arrange anything at the venue?
A table's worth of space and a power point nearby is plenty. We bring the bar setup and pack everything down after — you won't find so much as a lime wedge left behind.
